WELCOME!

This complex time of ours is full of richness and intensity.  Where can we find space for transformation and inner awakening? Where can we grasp the challenges and opportunities of the present? What questions our present and future fulfilment pose for us?

We would like to initiate a path of study and experience of Anthroposophy, connecting with the world around us. Anthroposophy is in fact open to the future and the initiative and hope it always contains.

Training

“Anthroposophy is a path of knowledge, to guide the Spiritual in the human being to the Spiritual in the universe. It arises in man as a need of the heart, of the life of feeling; and it can be justified only inasmuch as it can satisfy this inner need”

Rudolf Steiner, 1924

TRAINING

goetheanum.jpeg

Originating from the work of Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925) in the late 1800s and early 1900s, as a spiritual science for contemporary man, Anthroposophy can respond to a need for inner development with meaning and significance. It can educate thinking, help us in deepening our view of ourselves and the world, and expand what we have achieved so far in our lives. It enables us to sharpen our sensitivity and develop our artistic dimension and gives us the opportunity to awaken and inspire individual and social initiative.

Today’s historical and social scenario reveals more than ever the drama of life and the drama of knowledge. In the proposed content, we can recognise a possibility to grow our potential and open our hearts and minds to the needs and urgencies of the present.

PROJECT

As a scientific field and path of knowledge and self-education, Anthroposophy requires steps of learning and training, the acquisition of a method for study and research and the implementation of specific practices.

We propose to do this through encounters with teachers and artists of various backgrounds and expertise.

Project

“Only one journey is possible: the journey within. We don’t learn a whole lot from dashing about on the surface of the Earth. Neither do I believe that one travels so as to eventually return. Man can never reach back to the point of origin, because he has changed in the process. I see the only meaning of human existence in the effort to change oneself spiritually..."

Andrej A. Tarkovskij

PROJECT

The lab is designed as a journey combining face-to-face lessons, group workshops, joint study of texts, theses, dialogue moments, artistic and movement experiences, and distance events.

The different modules offer knowledge and tools for the elaboration of anthroposophical content.

They contain the basis for accessing the written texts and lecture series that make up Rudolf Steiner's work, in their place within the overall framework, and to be further studied in the future. It is an invitation to curiosity…

Project p2

“It must be understood that the inner development of the individual in the present time is a necessity.”

Ita Wegman, 1934

WHO IS IT ADDRESSED TO?

“The life of our time thirsts for creative ideas; no matter how much the carefree agitation of the enemies of thought tries to evade it, the thirst is not quenched.”

Rudolf Steiner, 1920

The project can be seen as a preparatory and complementary year for professional training in anthroposophy. But it also represents an opportunity for orientation, personal growth and the acquisition of tools for life.

We address students of all ages, who wish to undertake an intergenerational learning and experiential journey at times of formation, crisis or turning points in their lives.

Participants are invited to be active - exchanges and relationships will be encouraged in the intervals between seminar modules.

Who is it addressed to?

“… They told me that the truth of the universe was inscribed into our very bones. That the human skeleton was itself a hieroglyph. That everything we had ever known on earth was shown to us in the first days after death. That our experience of the world was desired by the cosmos, and needed by it for its own renewal.”

Saul Bellow, 1949
